Township of Southgate Development Policies Listing

Please see below for a list of Development Policies implemented by the Township of Southgate.

Local Services Policy

Policy Number: D-5 

The aim of the Local Service Policy is to set out the Township’s general guidelines on Development Charges (DC) and the determination of the allocation of costs based on the Township’s Local Service Policy for servicing infrastructure related to all Roads, Stormwater Management, Water, Sanitary, and Parkland Development.

Residential & Non-Residential Building & Service Policy 

Policy Number: D-6 

The aim of the Residential & Non-Residential Building & Service Policy is to provide guidance to support new construction and servicing requirements to access municipal services.

Municipal Parks & Open Space Standards Policy

Policy Number: D-7 

The aim of the Municipal Parks & Open Space Standards Policy is to provide all conveyed park and open space lands in a condition to the satisfaction of the Facilities Manager and the Public Works Manager.

Service Capacity Allocation Policy 

Policy Number: D-8 

The aim of the Service Capacity Allocation Policy is to provide clear information for the allocation of Water and Wastewater servicing to supply existing or future development in Dundalk. 

Residential Development Subdivision Security Maintenance Policy 
Policy Number: D-14
The aim of the Residential Development Subdivision Security Maintenance Policy is to provide the guidelines for security reductions of up to 20% of the project security requirement from a developer that has multiple developments in the municipality.
