Main Street and Osprey Street Reconstruction in Dundalk (October 9, 2026 Update)
A friendly reminder to Township of Southgate residents and visitors that Dundalk businesses remain open and ready to serve you during construction. Please continue to support our local businesses and plan ahead for travel time while construction is underway.
Main Street (Ida Street to McAuley Street)

- Sidewalk operations scheduled to begin the week of October 12th
- Paving operations scheduled for the week of October 19th
- Individual driveway access may be temporarily impacted during sidewalk operations

Main Street (Keppel Street to Proton Street)

- Excavation operations for watermain and storm sewer servicing is ongoing
- Main Street between Keppel Street and Proton Street is CLOSED with access only provided to local residents/businesses
- Individual driveway access may be temporarily impacted as excavation operations progress
Osprey Street (Victoria Street to Owen Sound Street)

- The majority of curb construction is complete. The remainder of Osprey Street North will be completed once the final length of storm sewer is installed
- Osprey Street South - Sidewalk operations are scheduled to begin the week of October 12th
- Osprey Street South - Paving operations are scheduled for the week of October 19th
- Individual driveway access may be temporarily impacted during sidewalk operations
- Osprey Street North – curb, sidewalk and paving operations are tentatively scheduled for end of October
- Osprey Street between Victoria and Owen Sound is CLOSED with access only provided to local residents/businesses.
- Intersection of Main Street and Osprey Street will remain CLOSED
