Dundalk Transfer Station Upgrade

The Dundalk Transfer Station will be under construction as part of an ongoing project to upgrade our waste services for approximately five weeks. On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the Dundalk Transfer Station will be closed as operations will focus on the upgrade. Therefore, the Egremont Transfer Station will be open on October 20, 2026. Following the 20th, both Transfer Stations will return to their regular operational hours. Unless otherwise posted, Dundalk will be open throughout the construction. 

Please note that our capacity to accept items and large volumes of waste will be reduced during construction. Dundalk will only be accepting garbage, recycling, dirty wood and e-waste. Additionally, only passenger vehicles transporting waste will be permitted on site. Due to limited space, trailers will not be allowed.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate your understanding as we complete necessary upgrades to better serve the community. Southgate looks forward to welcoming residents at a reduced capacity during the upgrade.
