As we recognize the 57th Annual Professional Municipal Clerks Week, taking place from May 3rd to 9th, 2026, the Township of Southgate is proud to take this opportunity to acknowledge the exceptional contributions of our very own Clerk Lindsey Green and Deputy Clerk Holly Malynyk.
Municipal Clerks play a vital role in local government, supporting the work of Council, upholding legislative processes, maintaining official records, coordinating meetings, supporting municipal elections, and helping ensure that municipal business is carried out with transparency, accuracy, and professionalism. Their work is often behind the scenes, but it is essential to the daily operations of the Township and to the effective delivery of municipal services.
Lindsey and Holly both bring dedication, organization, and a strong commitment to public service to their roles each and every day. Their attention to detail and constant steady support help keep important processes moving, assist staff and Council, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the Township. From preparing agendas and minutes to supporting governance, records management, by-laws, policies, and public-facing municipal processes, their work helps form the strong foundation of accountable and effective local government.
Professional Municipal Clerks Week is an important opportunity to recognize the knowledge, professionalism, and service that Clerks provide to municipalities across Canada and beyond. Here in Southgate, we are grateful and proud of the hard work and commitment Lindsey and Holly demonstrate in serving our organization and our community every day.
Thank you, Lindsey and Holly, for your dedication, professionalism, and the many ways you help keep the Township of Southgate running smoothly.
