National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

This September 30, we pause to reflect — to honour the children who never returned home, remember the survivors, and stand with the families and communities forever shaped by residential schools. It’s a day of solemn remembrance and a vital step toward healing.
Flags at all municipal facilities will fly at half-mast in observance of this occasion.
Let’s honour this day by:
- Wearing orange in solidarity
- Listening deeply to Indigenous voices
- Reaching further in our learning
- Committing to meaningful action—not just on September 30, but every day.
Together, as allies and learners, may we continue walking the path of truth, respect, and reconciliation.
