Significant Weather Event Declared - Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 2:00PM

The Township of Southgate has declared a Significant Weather Event (SWE) as of 2:00PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025 in accordance with s.16.9 of O.Reg 239/02.

The SWE has been declared due to forecasted and observed weather conditions. The declaration is to notify the public that due to the current and forecasted conditions, caution is to be observed when travelling on roads and sidewalks maintained by the Township of Southgate and that it may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads and sidewalks back to a state of repair due to freezing rain and icy conditions. 

This will remain in effect until further notice.
