Township of Southgate Notice - Half-Load Season in Effect March 1, 2026

Please note that half-load season in the Township of Southgate will be in effect on March 1, 2026. 

When put in place, the load restriction applies to all Township of Southgate Roads, regardless of where signs are posted. A maximum of 5 tonnes per axle is permitted.  

Under the Highway Traffic Act, Section 122, reduced load restrictions are placed on trucks to protect Ontario's highways during spring thaw, when road damage is likely to occur.
