Press Release - Strong Mayor Powers

As of May 1st, the Township of Southgate has been granted Strong Mayor Powers by the Province of Ontario. These powers give the mayor enhanced authority in administrative, budgetary and policy matters, however, Mayor Brian Milne has announce that he will delegate these powers back to Council and the CAO, emphasizing his commitment to collaborate governance.
