Library computers are available for a one hour time period. We ask that visitors sign in at the front desk prior to use.
If you require a computer for longer than one hour we ask that you book our quiet study room.

This means we will no longer charge late fines for overdue items! We will, however, continue to charge fees for lost and damaged items. To avoid fees, please return your items by the due date in good condition or renew them.

Looking for something we don't have? Patrons may request to borrow books from other libraries through inter-library loan. Limit of two books at a time. DVD's are not available to order.

Literacy Kits
Our Early Literacy Kits are designed to help parents and guardians support their children’s early literacy through fun, interactive games and activities. We have a wide variety of kits to choose from! Available to loan from the library for a 3 week period. These kits were made possible by a grant from Community Foundation Grey Bruce and the Friends of the Dundalk Library!
Book and Movie Kits
Share the experience of reading the book and then have fun watching the movie together! Each kit includes a list of discussion questions to help you engage with your child and deepen their understanding of the story. Choose from a selection of kits, available to loan from the library for one month.
Launchpads
Pre-loaded with content for kids and designed with a simple, easy-to-use interface, and 100% secure. Launchpads are loaded with learning apps, videos, games, and more for hours of interactive learning and play. No download time. No need for Wi-Fi. Available to loan from the library for a 1 week period. These kits were made possible by a grant from Community Foundation Grey Bruce and the Friends of the Dundalk Library!
Wonderbooks
Wonderbooks are print books with a built-in audiobook player attached to the cover. Children can press play to listen to the story while reading along, helping to build confidence, improve reading skills, and make reading more interactive and fun. Perfect for emerging readers, reluctant readers, and kids who love stories! Available to loan from the library for 3 weeks. Playaways
A Kids Playaway is a pre-loaded audiobook device that contains one complete story for children to enjoy. Each Playaway features a single audiobook title (3 to 9 hours long), making it simple and easy for kids to listen to their favourite books anytime, anywhere. No CDs, tablets, Wi-Fi, or downloads are needed—just plug in headphones, press play, and start listening! Playaways are portable, easy to use, and a great way to encourage reading and listening skills at home, in the car, or on the go. Available to loan from the library for 3 weeks. Yoto Players
The screen free audio player for kids!
Yoto Player puts kids safely in control of their listening, learning and play. No ads. No microphones.
Library patrons can check out a Yoto Player and audio cards from our collection of over 30 stories. Look for the story collection in the children's area! Available to loan from the library for a 2 week period. These kits were made possible by a grant from Community Foundation Grey Bruce and the Friends of the Dundalk Library!
Decodable Readers
Decodable readers are beginner books created to support children as they learn to read using phonics. The stories are written with carefully controlled vocabulary that focuses on specific letter sounds and spelling patterns, allowing children to sound out most of the words on their own. These books help build early reading skills, strengthen confidence, and support independent reading success as children progress through their literacy journey. Made possible by the support of the International Dyslexia Association of Ontario.
Orca Soundings
Orca Soundings are fast-paced, high-interest novels designed especially for readers who want engaging stories without long or complex text. These quick reads feature relatable characters and exciting plots across genres like mystery, sports, drama, and real-life challenges. Perfect for building reading confidence or for anyone looking for a book they can’t put down! We have several young adult books to choose from. Look for them in the Teen Area.
Mystery Boxes
Mystery Book Boxes are designed especially for curious readers. Each box is packed with surprise titles chosen to entertain, inspire, and stretch young imaginations.
The fun twist? You won’t know what books you’re getting until you check them out!

This room is suitable for meetings of 10-15 people. Table and chairs, projector and screen are available for use.

Non-profit groups: free
Other community groups: $35 for 3 hours payable by cash at time of booking.
The room is suitable for individuals or groups of 2-5. There are two computers and a small table and chairs available for use.

There is no cost to use this room.
Printing and copying costs are $0.25 per side of page for black and white and $0.75 per side of page for colour. Students may print 2 free pages for homework purposes per day.
Faxing is $1 per page.
Scan to email is FREE but limited per staff discretion.
At this time we can only accept cash as payment.
Patrons can now check out passes for Ontario Parks and Grand River Parks! Passes have a one week loan period.
