What is available at the Library?

Please note that due to Covid-19 our in-library services and room bookings are temporarily suspended. At this time we are able to offer e-resources and curbside pick-up of library materials. 

 Books

 We have a large selection of fiction and non-fiction books for all ages including:

  • audiobooks
  • baby board books
  • graphic novels
  • hard cover
  • large print
  • paperbacks
  • picture books
  • young adult

The loan period for books is 3 weeks. Items can be renewed in person or online. 

 Inter-library Loans
Looking for something we don't have? Patrons may request to borrow books from other libraries through the inter-library loan. Limit of two books at a time. DVD's are not available to order.
 DVD

Browse our wide selection of movies and television series for all ages!

DVD's may be checked out 5 at a time and have a loan period of 1 week. Renew online or in person.

 Magazines

 We have a variety of popular magazines for you to browse including:

  • Canadian Living
  • Chatelaine
  • Clean Eating
  • Country Woman
  • House and Home
  • Our Canada
  • Prevention
  • Reader's Digest
  • Style and Home
  • and many more!
 Local Newspapers
Browse a copy of the Dundalk Herald or Owen Sound Sun Times. Newspapers are not available for checkout.
 Genealogy
Interested in local history? Check out the resources in our Geneology section!
 Wi-fi
Our wi-fi is available for free use! Ask staff for the password.

 Computers Use

We have several computers available to the public for free.
 Printing, copying, and faxing
Printing and copying costs are $0.25 per page for black and white and $0.75 per page for colour. Students may print 2 free pages for homework purposes.

Faxing is $1 per page.

Scan to email is free.

At this time we can only accept cash as payment.

Fines

Fines are .25 cents per day, per item. They may be paid in person. cash only.

To avoid fines please return items by the due date or renew your items.

 Imagination Stations

We have recently purchased a new Cricuit Maker and sewing machines that are available for use in the library! You must provide your own materials. Training is available from staff.

 Meeting Rooms

We have two rooms available to book.

 

Mill Room

This room is suitable for group meetings of 10-15 people. Table and chairs, projector and screen  are available for use.

Cost

Non-profit groups: Free

Other community groups: $35 for 3 hours payable by cash at the time of booking.

 

Quiet Study Room

This room is suitable for individuals or small groups of 2-5. There are two computers and a small table and chairs available for use.

Cost

There is no cost for use of this room.
